If you sat an NCC certificate examination three years ago and sat one today, you would notice something immediately: there are subjects on the paper that did not used to be there.
Drones carry marks. So does cyber science. So do innovation concept, living with nature, moral and ethics, and career counselling. Alongside that, NCC Headquarters has been building hands-on programmes — drone training across every Directorate, a nationwide cyber programme, a disaster first-responder scheme — that are related to, but separate from, what you are examined on.

দুটি বিষয় লক্ষ্য করার মতো।

- Drones. An in-house drone programme has been rolled out across all 17 Directorates, with several hundred cadets trained in its first quarter. Directorates have run short drone capsules — two-day and ten-day formats — and four to five drone and counter-drone hubs are being raised, with centres reported at Nagpur and Pune. A Master Drone Instructor course at OTA Kamptee has certified instructors, and the stated direction is towards DGCA-approved Remote Pilot Training Organisations so that selected cadets can earn an actual Remote Pilot Certificate.
- Cyber. NCC signed an MoU with NIELIT for a nationwide cyber security capacity-building programme, structured in two stages: a 15-hour online awareness programme open to all cadets, and a 60-hour offline "Cyber Defender" programme for cadets selected on merit. The stated ambition has been described as raising 10,000 "cyber warriors".
- Disaster response. A plan to train one lakh cadets as "Yuva Aapda Mitras" — disaster first responders — in coordination with NDMA and the national disaster response agencies, linked to a national database.

The C-cert drone unit covers classification and the weight bands, principles of flight and how a multirotor is actually controlled, components and payloads, the Drone Rules 2021 in detail, operating discipline, applications in defence, agriculture and disaster management, counter-drone awareness, and privacy and legal responsibility.
A note on honesty, because it matters more than a marketing line. One subject — Living with Nature — is examined and carries marks, but DG NCC has not published its detailed topic list. We have written what we believe the subject covers, and we have deliberately not attached a marks claim to that unit in our classroom until the topic list is available. We would rather tell you that than pretend to a certainty we do not have.

- Career Counselling and Moral & Ethics carry marks at all three levels. They are examinable content, not assembly-hall talks.
