Who: every cadet, every year.

When: scheduled by your unit, usually in school/college holidays.

Duration: 9 to 12 days (varies by certificate level).

Where: a designated camp site — often a school campus, an Army training area, or an NCC facility.

Mandatory for certificate eligibility: the certificate exam will not be opened to you without the prior year’s CATC certificate.

When: annual, usually September–October.

Duration: ~10 days.

Open to: Army Wing senior-division cadets (typically B/C Certificate holders).

Events: drill, weapon handling, map reading, theory, obstacle course, judging distance, fire-control orders, wing-specific events.

Selection: state-level Thal Sainik Camp → IGC → All-India TSC. Highly competitive.

నౌ సైనిక్ క్యాంప్ (ఎన్ఎస్సి)-Naval Wing జాతీయ పోటీ

When: annual.

Duration: ~10 days.

Open to: Naval Wing senior-division cadets.

Events: seamanship, sailing, swimming, ship modelling, theory, drill.

Selection: Directorate-level NSC → IGC → All-India NSC.

వాయు సైనిక్ క్యాంప్ (విఎస్సి)-Air Wing జాతీయ పోటీ

When: annual.

Duration: ~10 days.

Open to: Air Wing senior-division cadets.

Events: aircraft recognition, aero-modelling, principles of flight, theory, drill, glider/microlight orientation flights (subject to weather).

Selection: Directorate-level VSC → IGC → All-India VSC.

• Basic Mountaineering Course at Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM) Uttarkashi, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) Darjeeling, and similar institutes.
• All India Trekking Expeditions in the Himalayas — multi-day trekking, often in groups of 30–50 cadets.

• Border / Coastal Area Camps — cadets from interior regions visit border / coastal locations.
• Adventure camps for specially-abled cadets (where the directorate runs them).

4. IGC results determine which Directorate teams reach the All-India camp for the final event.
