Three services, three portals
There is no single Agnipath application. Each service publishes its own notification and runs its own registration, and the correct portal is the one your notification names.
VSVSV is a private learning platform. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by the Ministry of Defence, the Indian Army, the Indian Navy, the Indian Air Force, or any recruiting body. We do not conduct, influence, or take part in recruitment or selection. This article is study material. It is not a recruitment notification. It confers no entitlement of any kind.
- The Indian Army — recruitment is run through Army Recruiting Offices, and the notification your ARO publishes names the portal and the window.
- The Indian Air Force — Agniveervayu applications run through the Central Airmen Selection Board recruitment portal.
- The Indian Navy — applications run through the Join Indian Navy portal, per batch.
Take the address from the notification itself, not from a search result, a message forwarded to you, or a link in an advertisement. That single habit removes most of the risk described in our article on spotting a fake recruitment notice.
Before you open the form
Registration is quick. Getting it wrong is slow. These are worth doing first.
Read the eligibility clause and confirm you qualify — age, education and the specific category or entry. An application that fails eligibility fails at verification, after you have prepared.
Gather your documents and put them in front of you — your matriculation or 10+2 certificates, an identity document, and anything you intend to claim a bonus or an exemption on.
Check that the details agree across those documents — name spelling, date of birth, parentage. This is the single most common cause of trouble later, and it has its own article.
Have a working email address and mobile number that will still be yours in a year. Every subsequent communication — admit card, centre, dates, results — goes to them.
Have a photograph and signature in the format the notification specifies — dimensions and file size are set in the notification, and a form will refuse an upload that does not match.
Filling the form
Enter your details exactly as they appear on your certificates — not as you usually write them. If your certificate says one spelling and your identity document says another, resolve that before you apply rather than choosing one on the form.
Choose your category or entry deliberately — for the Army this sets which paper you sit, and the papers differ substantially. Our articles on the Army categories and on the Navy entries cover what each involves.
Choose your examination language deliberately where the service offers a choice. Under the ARO rally notifications for the 2027 intake the Army's CEE is conducted in thirteen languages, and this is generally settled at application rather than on the day.

Read every field before submitting — most portals restrict or forbid editing after submission, and the notification will say what its own correction window is, if any.
After you submit
Save the acknowledgement — download it, screenshot it, and keep the registration or application number somewhere you will still find it in six months.
Save the notification PDF itself, not a link to it. Notifications are replaced when a new cycle opens, and the document you applied under is the one that governs your application.
Check the portal and your email periodically — admit cards and centre allotments are released on the portal, usually with a short window.
What no legitimate registration will ever ask you for
This belongs here rather than in a separate article, because it is at registration that most attempts are made.
- A fee paid to a person, a UPI handle, or an account given to you over a phone call — where a service charges an examination fee, the notification states the amount and the payment route.
- A payment for a "confirmed seat", a "quota", a "reference" or a "guaranteed selection" — no such thing exists in any of these recruitments.
- Your password, by anyone, for any reason.
- Your documents sent to a private WhatsApp number or email for "verification" or "processing".

What we do and do not do
We are a private learning platform. We take no part in your registration. We cannot submit an application for you, check your eligibility on the service's behalf, influence a selection, or obtain a document from a recruiting body.
If a website or person offers to do any of those, that offer is a warning sign rather than a service.
What to do
- Find your own notification — your ARO's, or the current advertisement for your service.
- Take the portal address from that document.
- Confirm eligibility and check your documents agree, before opening the form.
- Fill the form from your certificates, exactly.
- Save the acknowledgement and the notification PDF.
